P11A: residential tower with undulating white cantilevers on every floor and a glazed ground floor, above a park.

The project reinterprets urban density as a continuous geological sedimentation, dissolving volumetric rigidity through supple cantilevers that filter the light and breathe with the surrounding park.

MMatter

The architectural substance is treated in supple layers, in which matter compels the whole built volume to assert its own presence as an act of spatial affirmation.

EEnergy

The strength of the composition lies in the inflections of the curves, which dictate an unbroken flow of the gaze along the facade and blur the boundaries of the volume.

MMemory

The atmosphere recorded in these layered volumes is one of calm; the building refuses the ephemerality of commercial trends and enters urban memory through a tamed, organic monumentality, meant to age honestly.

SSpace

The quality of the space comes from dissolving the rigid boundary between inside and outside. The interior refuses the constraint of the conventional residential box and becomes a continuous observatory.

The volume is articulated as a succession of continuous layers whose undulations break the inertia of the built mass and turn the facade into a living sculptural relief, constantly reconfigured by light and shadow.

The Petricani site sits at the edge of a park, in an area that is densifying fast. The tower answers with horizontals: the continuous cantilevers pick up the line of the tree canopy and let the verticality read as a succession of layers rather than a block. Matter works in two registers: fluid white planes that catch the light all day, and warm timber cladding withdrawn into the shadow of the cantilevers. At ground level, glazing and arcades open the base of the building to the park, and the evening light reaches deep into the living spaces.

How can density become a fluid experience of living?

Matter and atmosphere

The radical structural gesture by which continuous white cantilevers turn the facade into an inhabitable relief.
